Unlicensed Driver Allegedly Knocks Out Hydrant
... and some residents of Brookwood Drive are still bending down to get their mail.

On Sunday morning an unlicensed driver allegedly crashed into a fire hydrant as well as a row of mailboxes in the 100 block of Brookwood Drive.
Police said Antonia Cabanas, 41, of the 200 block of South Spring Garden Street, Ambler, was driving a yellow Nissan Xterra at about 10:30 a.m. when she jumped the curb and crashed into the hydrant and the mailboxes.
Ambler Water had to fix the hydrant, according to the police report; the estimated cost of the hydrant was $100. Police said the Xterra was towed because Cabanas did not have a license.
