Masked Man Robs Bank at Gunpoint, Police Say

A man robbed an Upper Dublin PNC bank early Saturday morning.

A masked man robbed the PNC bank at 1015 South Bethlehem Pike shortly after it opened Saturday morning. 

Upper Dublin Police Detective Mike Byrne said the man entered the bank at about 8:30 a.m. 

The man, who was wearing a white cloth bag or pillowcase on his head with eye holes cut out, entered the bank with a small, black semi-automatic pistol, according to police.

He was also carrying a black Nike drawstring bag and ordered everyone inside the bank down on the floor. He then obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the teller area and fled on foot, police said. 

No shots were fired and no one was injured, Byrne said. The man fled on foot.

Police describe the man as white, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with a heavy build, weighing about 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown suit coat, a grey patterned tie, a light blue button-down shirt, dark paints and light green latex or rubber gloves.
