Upper Dublin Woman Charged in Hit-and-Run of Police Car

Police said Christine Vanderslice, 66, of Loch Alsh Avenue, allegedly hit a car with her SUV and continued driving, before being pulled over by an officer.

Whitpain Township Police said Christine Vanderslice, 66, of the 600 block of Loch Alsh Avenue, Upper Dublin, allegedly hit a police car with her SUV, and continued driving before being pulled over.

On May 25, at 10:40 p.m., patrol vehicles were parked on Butler Pike, as officers were conducting an investigation, police said.

Vanderslice, driving a maroon Chevrolet Suburban, allegedly struck the side view mirror and spotlight of an occupied patrol vehicle with the side view mirror of her SUV, police said.

The patrol vehicle was occupied by an officer and two juveniles, police said.

Vanderslice continued north on Butler Pike, failing to stop, police said.

An officer at the scene caught up to Vanderslice's SUV. The officer spoke with Vanderslice about the hit-and-run, police said.

Vanderslice is charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, failure to give information and render aid, careless driving, speeding and failure to do her duty as a driver in an emergency response area, police said.
