Dance Arts Conservatory to Hold Open Rehearsal Fundraiser
The proceeds from the event will go toward helping the local dance students perform in distant dance competitions.

Twenty-five local dancers, aged 7 to 18, are preparing for the 2012 dance competition season and offering the community a preview.
On Sunday, March 4, will hold an Open Rehearsal at its studio at 2935 Byberry Road in Hatboro from 2 to 4 p.m.
The public is invited to watch the girls dance for an admission cost of $5, with all proceeds going to the team to help defray the cost of competing. Dances to be performed will include solos, duos, trios, large and small group numbers in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theater. There will also be refreshments and raffle baskets!

Artistic Director Noell Mustazza opened Dance Arts Conservatory four years ago with the intention of bringing a high quality, personal, and positive dance school to the area.
Members of the competition team are invited to audition based on their skills, dance technique, attitude, and hard work.

Being a member of the team is a commitment on the part of students and their parents. Many of the team’s dancers are in the studio four or five times each week for several hours at a time. While dance competition season is in the spring, the team works year-round.
This year the team is competing three times—in Sewell, NJ; Voorhees, NJ, and Philadelphia.
Each competition takes place over two or three days, with individual dancers performing up to ten times during the whole event. Dancers are scored for each performance and awards are made based for best scores within competition age and skill divisions.
Last year, the Dance Arts Conservatory team brought home a wall-full of trophies and received a number of special awards including one for best costumes, one for one for ballet potential, and one recognizing the studio’s theming of dances, music, and costuming. Come out and see just how good this team is!
