'Fireflies in a Field of Fireworks'

Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust will host a 'Fireflies in a Field of Fireworks' event June 23, from 8 to 10 p.m.

From 8 to 8:30 p.m., summer treats will be served at the PERT Visitor's Center, which will including s'mores.

From 8:30 to 10 p.m., PERT invites the community to experience a spectacular display of "nature's fireworks," fireflies, on a guided evening walk—you'll learn about fireflies, their habitat and their biolumniescence.

The event is free for members, and $3 for adult visitors and $2 for children. All proceeds will benefit PERT and its mission. S'mores cost $1.
