Why go: If you hated studying geography in school, this walk is for you! Willow Grove straddles two tremendous divisions of the earth’s crust, having visible effects on the human and natural inhabitants of the Pennypack Valley. Most of the vigorous four-mile hike is on easy dirt trails, but walkers will have to climb one long, steep hill at the end. Reservations are recommended. Call Lauren at Pennypack at 215-675-0830.

Why go: Kicking off Willow Grove’s Tri-Centennial Celebration, the Loyalty Day Parade will start at the North-Willow Grove Shopping Center and end at the Willow Grove Park Mall.
Why go: The historical commission promotes, protects and facilitates preservation of buildings, sites, objects and anything of historical significance in the township. Come to a meeting to learn more and get involved.
