Giant Provides Ways to Help Give More this Holiday Season

'Tis the season of giving and and MARTIN’S Food Markets are offering customers ways to support two worthy children’s organizations this holiday – Toys for Tots and Children’s Miracle Network.

“Giving back and supporting those in need in your local community is important throughout the year, but it takes on new meaning during the holiday season,” said Rick Herring, president. “GIANT/MARTIN’S is proud to give back to the communities that we serve, and we are excited to help local children this year by partnering with such deserving organizations as Toys for Tots and Children’s Miracle Network.”

For the first time, GIANT/MARTIN’S is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program to provide local children in need with a new toy at Christmas. Customers can bring a new, unwrapped toy to any GIANT or MARTIN’S store through Dec. 10.

Collection boxes will be placed near the customer service desk.

Now until Dec. 10 is GIANT/MARTIN’S annual “Candles for Kids” in- store holiday campaign in support of the Children’s Miracle Network. Customers have an opportunity to purchase a paper candle at the checkout for $1 donation and write their names on these candles which will be displayed in the store.

Over the past 15 years, GIANT/MARTIN’S has raised more than $25 million to support seven Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across its operating areas.
