Nazi Germany and its collaborators are credited with systematically killing around six million Jewish people across German-occupied Europe in various extermination camps during World War II.

Escaping or evading the Nazis was extremely difficult yet some managed to do so with the help of non-Jewish people who took a huge risk in helping others escape the grip of Hitler's regime.
