Each week, we take time out on Upper Moreland Patch to answer the questions that concern our moms. We welcome all moms, dads, grandparents, friends and family to check out our questions and add to our answers. This space is for you, to both ask and answer any questions!

We know that being a parent means getting advice from others, and this space can be that forum for you. As Hillary Clinton’s book title implied, “It takes a village …,” and moms in Upper Moreland can rely on Patch to be there with an answer to their parenting questions.

This week, we were asked about ways to enjoy the rays:

“I wanted to ask about parks — anyone planning any outdoor activities next week? Expecting 50s and even — wow — 60s — next week. We're right in Lansdale Borough and plan to hit up a few parks — how about you?”

Great idea, Kali! With warmer weather this week, and what is expected to be a gorgeous weekend, it is a wonderful time to head to the area’s many parks.

If you are in the Upper Moreland area, check out these must-see outdoor spaces.

1. : Known for its open field, this spot is a great place to enjoy some fresh air.
2. Jungle gyms, swings and slides, oh my! Take the kids here for a break this weekend.
3. A roller hockey court! Need we say more?
4. Well known for its “Safety Town,” this park with mini replicas of community hot spots is a great place for the small ones.

Enjoy the great outdoors this week, and get the kids out of that cabin fever funk. Take some time to enjoy the local parks during this warm up, and defrost the family.
