Anxious to soar in the air above
The plane roars in excitement on the runway
Soft murmurs can be heard by strangers
As they fill its insides

With its nose pointed to the sky
It's lifted
It is free

Looking out of the airplane's pores
One sees a picture of soft cotton balls within arms reach
As the sun goes to bed and cuddles the clouds
It yawns and stretches its rays
Leaving vivid hues across the sky

The plane prepares to leave the silence of the sky
It whistles a louder hum
With a final sigh it descends towards civilization

For a moment, though, it was free
