DUI

  • On March 23, at 1:39 a.m., police on patrol observed a vehicle being operated by Sherwin Charles, 38, of the 6200 Block of Old York Road in Philadelphia, in the area of Easton Road and Gilpin Road in the Willow Grove section of the Township. The officer observed the vehicle traveling southbound operating in both lanes of travel. Charles was stopped and subsequently arrested. He submitted chemical breath test which showed his Blood Alcohol Concentration to be 0.116 percent. Charges have been filed in District Court for DUI and related offenses.

Drug Offense

  • On March 20, at 10:31 p.m., officers conducted an investigation into a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Easton Road and Park Avenue. Tarik Frison, 21, of the 800 Block of Hilldale Road in Glenside, was found to be asleep behind the wheel. When the officer made contact with Frison, it was found that he did not possess a valid driver's license. Additional investigation found that Frison was in possession of controlled substances. Frison is charged with Drug and vehicle offenses.

Disturbance

  • On March 28, at 2020 County Line Road in huntingdon Valley, the Upper Moreland Police Department conducted an investigation into a disturbance at the LA Fitness. Victor Lushnikov, 19, of the 200 Block of Sycamore Circle Featerville, had been involved in a physical argument in the gym. This argument led to Lushnikov striking a 15-year-old in the gym. Lushnikov was cited for Disorderly Conduct as well as Harassment.

Retail Theft

  • On March 27, at 9:37 a.m., the Giant Food Store reported a theft of various brands of razor blades cartridges with an approximate value of $800. The theft was caught on video surveillance, but the offenders have not been identified yet.

Burglary

  • On March 31, the Upper Moreland Police Department responded to a security alarm at the Carrabbas Restaurant, 2575 Maryland Road in Willow Grove. When the officers arrived they found a completed burglary. The investigation continues.
  • On March 30, at 12:22 p.m., the Upper Moreland Police responded to a home in the 2800 block of Blair Mill Road and met with a contractor who arrived to complete some work on the house. When the contractor arrived, he found the rear door open. The contractor found that someone had cut and removed copper piping in the basement.
