Sobriety Checkpoints Will Soon Take Place In Upper And Lower Moreland Townships
Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints in Upper Moreland the weekend of Oct. 1 and Lower Moreland the weekend of Oct. 8.
EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Police in eastern Montgomery County are warning drivers of upcoming sobriety checkpoints that will soon be set up in nearby municipalities.
The Eastern Montgomery County DUI Task Force will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint and roving DUI enforcement patrols in Upper Moreland Township the weekend of Oct. 1 and then again in Lower Moreland Township the weekend of Oct. 8, police announced this week.
Officers with the task force will be looking for impaired drivers and enforcing general vehicle code violations.

Police will be checking to see if any drivers are under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxicating substances.
Specific roads on which the sobriety checkpoints will be set up were not disclosed by police and neither were the timeframes during which the checkpoints would be occurring.

Abington Township
Cheltenham Township
Jenkintown Borough
Lower Moreland Township
Montgomery Township
Springfield Township
Upper Dublin Township
Upper Moreland Township
Whitemarsh Township
