Township Issues Emergency Notice for Upcoming Severe Weather

The Township gives tips for preparation and how to avoid home-hazards during the storm.

Following Gov. Corbett's statewide declaration of disaster, Upper Moreland Township has issued several potentially life-saving preparation tips:

Before entering your home, check outside for loose power lines, damaged gas lines, foundation cracks or other damage.  Call 9-1-1 to report any of these problems.  Do not enter the home.

If power lines are down outside your home, do not step in any puddles or standing water and stand back from the power lines.  Call 9-1-1 to report.
