Two Local Shops Make Zagat List of Best Bacon Dishes

Zagat has released a list of the 50 most unique bacon dishes in the United States. Two Philadelphia locations made the list with their bacon-y offerings.

PYT, located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood, made the list with their Bacon Shell Taco. According to the Zagat list, the chef weaves "strips of bacon together, then lays the woven mat in s special mold for a quick deep fry." Only 20 are available at PYT each day.

Hot Diggity, on South Street, also made the list for their Texas Hold'Em hot dog, a hot dog with a slice of bacon wrapped around it and then deep fried and topped with hot sauce, sweet barbecue sauce, shredded cheese and green onions.
