UPPER MORELAND, PA — Visitors dropping by township-run buildings and facilities no longer have to wear face coverings, Upper Moreland officials announced this week.

Effectively immediately, anyone stopping in any one of the township-owned buildings will not have to wear face masks as a mitigation measure against COVID-19 since federal health officials have since changed their guidance with regard to virus containment.

"It should be noted that the CDC still recommends that individuals who are at high risk of illness should consult with their doctors to determine if they should continue to wear masks indoors," the township wrote in a community notice. "Wearing masks indoors is still recommended for the unvaccinated. Also, masks are still required for buses, planes, hospitals and healthcare settings."
