Upper Moreland Now Requires Universal Masking In Township Bldgs
Anyone entering an Upper Moreland Township facility must now wear a face covering, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
UPPER MORELAND, PA — Following in the footsteps of other neighboring communities, Upper Moreland will now be requiring those visiting township buildings to wear facemasks to protect against COVID-19.
The township posted a notice on its website Monday saying that township staff and visitors stopping in to any municipal facility will now need to wear a mask regardless of whether or not the individual has been inoculated against the coronavirus.
Visitors to township buildings will also be required to adhere to social distancing requirements.

Township officials said the decision came after Montgomery County announced that anyone entering county buildings would also need to wear masks to help protect against rising COVID-19 infection rates.
The county requirement went into effect on Monday Aug. 16. The county also issued a recommendation that individuals should mask up while indoors in the county outside of government facilities.

Upper Moreland Township said that it instituted the local policy because it adheres to health guidance from the county and the U.S. CDC.
