Video Shows Upper Moreland Officers Humanely Removing A Can From A Skunk's Head

The two officers are shown wrangling up the skunk and gently removing a can that had gotten stuck on the animal's head.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Two Upper Moreland Township Police officers were caught on video helping out a skunk that had gotten itself into a tricky predicament.

Video posted to social media shows Upper Moreland Officers Layla Cruz and John Magovern helping to humanely remove a can that appeared to have gotten stuck on the head of a skunk.

"It's a skunk with a can on its head. It's been wandering around my backyard," the unidentified resident is heard uttering on the video, which was posted to Facebook by the Upper Moreland Police Benevolent Association.

Cruz is then shown placing some sort of tarp or blanket over the animal and then doing a slight curtsy with a smile.

Magovern is then shown walking up to the scene with a gripping tool in his hand and gently removing the stuck can from the head of the skunk.

"Oh my gosh, I love you guys," said the woman taking the video.

After the can was removed the skunk went about its business, crossing the street and disappearing into the neighborhood.
