WG Chamber to hold 30th annual Taste of Willow Grove

The popular event puts Willow Grove residents in touch with their local restaurants.

The Taste of Willow Grove  is a popular community event, going on its 30th year this year.

“You’ll run into all sorts of friends you haven’t seen in a while,” John DiMarzio, Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce president, said.

The chamber organizes this annual event, of which DiMarzio describes as an opportunity to showcase the pride of the Willow Grove Area dining scene.

The event willl take place on Dec. 4, from 5 – 8 p.m. at in Willow Grove.

According to DiMarzio, Kremp Florist will be festooned with bright and inviting holiday decorations, and participants may expect to be treated with a caroling performance by local students.

On YouTube, Kremp Florist posted a video from last year’s Taste of Willow Grove event, demonstrating the major preparations taken to make this event successful, as well as show the high attendance of this event.

According to DiMarzio in his recent president’s letter to the chamber of commerce, the event area will be expanded this year to accommodate an expected increase in event participation.

His letter also added that Willow Grove Chamber Members may receive a discount for this event.

According to DiMarzio, the restaurants volunteer their time and services at the event, and proceeds go toward chamber community efforts. However, the chamber is still accepting individual sponsors for this year’s Taste of Willow Grove.

In addition to the sample plates, and wine-tasting, raffles will be available, and will feature a grand prize of a 50-inch HD television.

“It’s a good night out for $20, and it’s a good networking opportunity,” DiMarzio said.
