The top name on the list of steering committee members, is the committee’s chairman, the late .

Booth and Connell then proceeded to recognize each of the names on the plaque, whose membership represents civic leaders, as well as leaders from the business and faith communities.

Topping the list of sponsors is the celebration’s premier sponsor Goodman Properties. The Jenkintown-based real estate development and management firm contributed $25,000 to the celebration, helped the steering committee to raise over $140,000.

“And, Dick Sayer would be proud to present that [the celebration] was at no cost to the taxpayers,” Connell said.

According to Booth, the steering committee is currently working on putting together a photo-journal of the more than 50 events.
