Church Expansion Will Be Subject of Public Hearing
Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Upper Saucon Township has proposed additions to its sanctuary and a 29-space expansion of its parking lot. A public hearing will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the township municipal building.

An Upper Saucon Township church's proposed expansion plans will be the subject of a public hearing at Monday's township board of supervisors meeting.
Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, 6782 N. Main St., has proposed construction of a narthex, stairway and third-floor balcony, and hopes to add 29 off-street parking spaces, along with exterior lighting, landscape screening and stormwater management facilities.
The property the church owns is currently zoned R-2 suburban residential, according to information posted on the Upper Saucon Township website.

Copies of application documents related to the proposed expansion are available for public review at the Upper Saucon Township Municipal Building during regular business hours.
The public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal building.

"Calvary Church has been part of the Coopersburg community since 1869 when a group of local residents built a stone meeting house on the banks of the Saucon Creek," according to the church's website.
