On crutches for support, Carl Deutsch, 50, recounted his version of the raid for Judge Douglas Reichley, who sentenced Deutsch to 11 1/2 months to 23 months in Lehigh County Prison Tuesday afternoon.
Deutsch was having sex with his girlfriend when officers raided the house, catching him off guard.

"I jumped out of bed and started yelling 'Who are you, why are you in my house?'" said Deutsch.
Deutsch claimed that he was forced to the floor while trying to cover himself and restrained when state police "stomped" his leg, requiring several surgeries and ultimately leading to a staph infection. "I haven't been able to walk in 17 months," said Deutsch of the ongoing staph infection treatment.

In April 2011, The criminal complaint says police found the chemicals -- including red phosphorous, iodine and pseudoephedrine -- used for manufacturing methamphetamine. Authorities also say that Deutsch attempted to disarm officers twice during the arrest.
"These officers announced on a loudspeaker that they were entering the home. They came in wearing full police gear and rammed the door. I find it almost ridiculous that [Deutsch] had no idea who the men were or why they were there," said Assistant District Attorney Mike Edwards.
Edwards also found other factors unbelievable, like Deutsch's claim that he didn't use methamphetamines and that prescribed medication gave law enforcement a false positive during a drug test. Edwards also reminded the court of Deutsch's prior history, including hitting an officer as a juvenile and a 2006 case where he almost ran over an officer.
Though Deutsch's attorney asked for house arrest due to his age and ongoing medical treatment costs, Reichley ordered Deutsch to serve 11 1/2 months to 23 months in Lehigh County Prison as well as five years' probation and 250 hours of community service.
"I want to send a message to you that if you step out of line in the next seven years, your butt is mine," said Reichley. "If you deviate one inch, you will go to state prison."
Police also arrested Deutsch's girlfriend at the time, Kimberly Fizer. Fizer pleaded guilty in May 2011 to two counts of conspiracy to manufacture and was sentenced to one to five years in state prison.
