Upper Saucon Supervisor John Gilda Jr. Bid Farewell
Chairman Steve Wagner presented Gilda with a plaque and read a quote from President John F. Kennedy, who once said that 'one person can make a difference, and everyone should try.'

An Upper Saucon Township supervisor was bid a fond farewell at the board's Dec. 23 meeting.
After serving on the board of supervisors for the past six years, Monday's meeting was John E. Gilda Jr.'s last.
Chairman Steve Wagner presented Gilda with a plaque and read a quote from President John F. Kennedy, who once said that "one person can make a difference, and everyone should try."
Wagner told Gilda, "You tried and you did make a difference."
Gilda remarked that "it has been an honor to serve" as an Upper Saucon supervisor.
Newly-elected supervisor Philip Spaeth will take his seat on the board at the next meeting, which will be held Monday, Jan. 6.
