Diesel Tank, Dumpster Fires Reported In Southampton
The Southampton Fire Company No. 1 handled several incidents over the holiday weekend.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Southampton Fire Company No. 1 has a busy holiday weekend handling numerous incidents, fire officials said.
On Saturday, Engine 2 responded to a fire investigation where an empty 30,000-gallon diesel tank accidentally caught fire, flashed, and quickly self-extinguished.
Crews stood by conducting air monitoring until awaiting the arrival of Bucks County Special Operations HazMat representatives to ensure proper precautions were taken.

Later that evening, Ladder 2 and Engine 2 assisted the Northampton Township Fire Department on a working dwelling fire on Mohawk Drive.
Crews threw ground ladders, ventilated, and overhauled the dwelling.

On Sunday, Engine 2 responded to a dumpster fire with no exposures in the rear of a local shopping center, which was then quickly extinguished.
