UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A faulty HVAC is being blamed for causing a fire Friday morning at a building on Second Street Pike, fire officials said.

The Southampton Fire Company and mutual aid fire departments were dispatched at 8:38 a.m. Friday for a reported building fire on the 300 block of Second Street Pike.

Units found an odor of smoke in most of the building, which was eventually narrowed down to an issue with the HVAC system, fire officials said.
