Former Detective Remembered By Upper Southampton Police Department
Michael Gleason Jr. served 37 years in various roles with the department. He died earlier this month at the age of 85.
UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The police department is mourning the loss of retired Detective Michael Gleason Jr., who passed away earlier this month.
Gleason was 85.
"The police department is saddened to announce the passing of retired Detective Michael Gleason, Jr. Det. Gleason served with USPD for 37 years from 1966 until his retirement in 2003. Our most sincere condolences to Det. Gleason's family," the department's Facebook page read.

Gleason started his tenure with the police department in 1966 until his retirement in 2003, according to his obituary from the McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home in Southampton.
He served 10 years in the Patrol Division and then transferred to Criminal Investigations where he served for 19 years. Following Criminal Investigations, he was a Court Liaison Officer until his retirement, the obituary read.

Gleason was the beloved husband to the late Judith Gleason, son of the late Michael and Agnes Gleason, and father to the late Stacey Gleason.
He is survived by his children Kelly Stojinski (Thomas), Patti Bradley and Michael Gleason III, his siblings Bill Gleason (JoAnne) and Dorothy Sheridan, as well as nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services took place earlier this month at the McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton. His interment was at Sunset Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
