Glencairn Museum Tickets Featured on Groupon

It is right in your own backyard, but have you ever really toured the historic Glencairn Museum?

The museum's annual Medieval Festival held in February, drew hundreds of people to the castle in Bryn Athyn, which houses a museum collection dedicated to the history of religion.

Built between 1928 and 1939, Glencairn was the home of Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn. The couple left the home to the Academy of the New Church after Mildred died in 1980.

Via the savings site Groupon, you can visit the museum for half the price, just $8 per person. The 50 percent discount is offered to those in groups of two or four. Over 750 packages have already been purchased, and the "deal is on" as the site is famous for noting.

Currently on display is "Windows into Heaven: The Icons of Susan Kelly vonMedicus," a collection of icons of religious subjects by a local artist.
