Grocery Worker In Southampton Positive For Coronavirus

SOUTHAMPTON, PA — A deli worker at a Southampton grocery store has tested positive for the new coronavirus, according to a company message to its employees.

According to the company, the employee works at the Giant at 466 Second Street Pike in Southampton.

The department in which the employee works was closed on Monday for a deep cleaning, according to the message.

"We are taking appropriate actions to keep you and our customers safe," it reads.

An employee of the store, responding to a social media post, said the worker who tested positive has not been in the store since Tuesday, March 24.
