Ruiz and Volpe repeat as winners of Southampton Lions 5K run

The Southampton Lions held their 12th Annual Run for Sight 5K on July 4th, 2018 at Tamanend Park in Southampton PA. Although the weather was hot and humid, the race drew a large Holiday crowd, ready to tackle the demanding but scenic cross country course through Tamanend Park. Nick Volpe of Southampton, a former William Tennent and Penn State distance ace claimed the overall championship for the second year in a row as he sped to a 17:08 overall time for the win. Amy Ruiz of Milton GA also defended her title from a year ago, placing 6th overall and first for the women's group in an excellent time of 19:29.
