Snow Emergency Declared In Upper Southampton Twp.
Upper Southampton Police have issued the declaration for throughout Saturday due to a storm that is expected to bring between 4-6 inches.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The township has issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency due to Friday night's storm.
Township Emergency Management Coordinator Michael T. Italia said that the declaration remains in effect from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.
The township seeks the community's help in removing all cars and vehicles from the roadway, so snow plowing operations are not delayed.

The National Weather Service has said that Lower Bucks County may see between 4 and 6 inches Friday night into Saturday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Lower Bucks County.
The emergency declaration was issued in order for the township to "facilitate the movement of traffic and to combat the hazards of snow and ice" on all township streets.

A township ordinance states that it is unlawful to park or allow to be parked, any motor vehicle on any road or street within the township when an emergency has been declared by the township manager.
Ordinance No. 441 said that no person removing snow or ice from public sidewalks or private property shall throw, shovel, push, plow, or otherwise move snow or ice into the public street.
