Snow And Ice Emergency Declared In Upper Southampton Township

This means drivers cannot park on roads or streets, so as to let snowplows through. Violators may be fined and/or towed.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Officials have declared a snow and ice emergency in the township with the incoming winter storm, which could bring more than 5 inches of snow to communities in Lower Bucks County.

Forecasters have issued a winter storm warning for Lower Bucks County beginning at 4 a.m. Friday morning, due to dangerously icy conditions and the chance of 5 to 6 inches of snow accumulating.

The emergency declaration takes effect at 7 p.m. Thursday, jan. 18 and remains in effect until 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20.

During a snow-related emergency, it is unlawful to park on any roads within Upper Southampton Township as they are all part of the snow emergency route. This is in accordance with Chapter 174 of the township code.
