Suspicious Vehicle Identified By Upper Southampton Police
Police said a man in a pickup truck was approaching residents about false gas meter inspections on Friday. His credentials checked out.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Upper Southampton Police Department said that a suspicious vehicle reported in the township relating to gas meter inspections has checked out.
The suspicious white Ford F250 bearing "General Asphalt" on the side has been located and the driver identified.

The driver/representative is a legitimate subcontractor for PECO who is in the area updating records on old or outdated gas meters, police said.
The driver/representative does have valid PECO credentials on a lanyard around his neck.

"Please disregard any previous inquiries as everything is legitimate," police said.
On Friday, Upper Southampton Police were contacted regarding a suspicious pickup truck traveling on Cushmore Road.
Police said the man approached a residence and requested to inspect the gas meter. He later turned away and left the area without stopping at any other residences.
