Bridgeville's Battle to Stop Bedner Farms Development Not Over Yet
Four Bridgeville residents have filed a motion for the courts to reconsider a settlement approved by borough officials.

Just a few weeks after the Bridgeville Council approved a settlement with the Bedner Farms developers, another courts battle has started.
Four Bridgeville Borough residents have filed a motion seeking reconsideration regarding the settlement.
Neil Lyons, who lives near the planned development and is running for a Bridgeville Council seat; Bob Fryer, a Bridgeville planning consultant; Joel Lakus, chairman of the Bridgeville Republican Party; and Bill Colussy, the only council member to vote against the settlement, are concerned about the traffic that the planned neighborhood's connection to Main Street will create, according to The Almanac.
The men propose in their motion that the developer reconsider making the neighborhood's second connection to Bower Hill Road.
The neighborhood's developers' settlement with Bridgeville includes a $70,000 payment to the borough that would allow 33 new homes in the development to tap into Bridgeville's sewer lines, according to the report.
The newspaper also reports that an ordinance was passed from 1949-51 that stated that Main Street was open all the way to the Upper St. Clair Township border.
Upper St. Clair commissioners approved in April the first phase of construction for the neighborhood. Heartland Homes and Thomas Homes are planning three phases of construction with a total of more than 130 homes, varying in prices from $350,000 to more than $1 million.
The second phase includes the connection to Main Street in Bridgeville.
