Suburban Pittsburgh Restaurant Closed For Health Violations
The Allegheny County Health Department found numerous health violations at this popular Pittsburgh-area eatery.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has shut down the Istanbul Grille on Painters Run Road for numerous health violations.
The eatery was operating without a valid health permit. A recent inspection also found the hand sink and toilet in the employee restroom were soiled. No toilet paper or paper towels were found in the restroom, nor was there a covered waste receptacle in the room.
Additionally, seasonings and frozen goods stored in an unfinished garage nearby.

No dumpster was present at the restaurant. Trash and canned goods were stored inside the kitchen, garage and rear of the building.
It's not clear when, or if, the eatery will reopen.
