Tax Hike Looms For Upper St. Clair School District Homeowners

The Upper St. Clair School District has inched closer to approving a property tax increase.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — Township property owners can expect to pay more in real estate taxes under the proposed final budget adopted May 13 by Upper St. Clair school directors.

The proposed spending plan is based on a millage rate of 30.5970, which is a 3.25 percent increase of 0.9631 mills. The annual tax impact of the increase on a $250,000 home, the average assessed value of an Upper St. Clair home, is $240.77 or $20.06 per month.

The final budget is expected to be adopted on June 17.
