One of two men accused of burglarizing a Scott Township building and stealing copper to sell for scrap is going to trial on the charges.
Charles Grodes, 36, of Upper St. Clair, waived to court charges of theft and trespassing during his preliminary hearing with District Judge Gary Zyra on March 21.
He is being held on $10,000 bond and his formal arraignment is scheduled for May 8.

Scott Township police said Grodes and Dale Brannan, 48, of Carnegie, entered a building in the 200 block of Noblestown Road on Jan. 25 and took an undisclosed amount of copper.
