Upper St. Clair School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA — The first day of school in Upper St. Clair is August 27 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Upper St. Clair District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/15: New Teacher Orientation
• 8/16: New Teacher Induction
• 8/27: First Day of School

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/12: Half-Day Early Dismissal for Students (Teacher Professional Development)
• 10/29 - 10/30: No School (Teacher In-Service Days)

November

• 11/6: No School (Teacher In-Service Day)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Recess, New Year's Day)
• 1/21: No School (Teacher In-Service Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Teacher In-Service Day, Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/15: Half-Day Early Dismissal for Students (Teacher Professional Development)
• 3/18: No School (Teacher In-Service Day)

April

• 4/1: No School (Teacher In-Service Day)
• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/11: Last Day of School
