$10K Donation Helps Hunger Fight For Warminster Food Bank
Giant Food Stores members volunteered and also presented a check at the food bank on Friday. September is Hunger Action Month.

WARMINSTER, PA —The check is in the mail. And the amount will help fight hunger.
The Warminster Food Bank received a visit from Giant Food Stores to recognize the food bank's work in eliminating hunger in local communities.
Giant members volunteered at the food bank Friday and also presented a donation that is expected to be $10,000.

"We thank Giant Food Stores for their recognition in honor of Hunger Action Month," the food bank posted on its Facebook page.
The Warminster Food Bank serves over 800 individuals/200 families each month and more than 7,500 individuals and 1,800 families each year.

The food bank teamed up with Giant and the Centennial students on the school district's "Stuff the Bus" campaign last month.
Patch has partnered with Feeding America since 2020 to help raise awareness of hunger in our local communities, a persistent national problem exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that 1 in 8 people face hunger. This is a Patch social good project; Feeding America receives 100 percent of donations.
