100-Year-Old Resident Honored In Warminster

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Bernard Gerson has seen a lot in his lifetime.

His service in the U.S. Navy earned him a Purple Heart award. He is a proud father of two children. He was also an avid tennis player until age 94.

Gerson also celebrated another milestone: He recently turned 100 years old.

That earned him recognition from State Rep. Brian Munroe, who presented Gerson with an official PA House of Representatives citation while he was surrounded by family and friends.

"His life of service, dedication, and vitality is an inspiration to our community, and it was a privilege to help celebrate this remarkable milestone," Munroe said.

Residents showed their support for Gerson on Facebook, offering birthday well-wishes and making comments like "you look fantastic," "you are a gem," and "happy birthday to a true American hero."
