BUCKS COUNTY, PA — With the first weekend in May comes thoughts of Mother's Day and the unofficial start of summer with Memorial Day.
As the weather warms, it's time to get out and about and see what Bucks County has to offer, whether you take the kids to Sesame Place, explore Tyler Park, check out the strawberry festival at Peddler's Village, or walk through Yardley's history.

Peddler's Village Holding Strawberry Festival
Peddler’s Village in Lahaska will celebrate its 44th annual Strawberry Festival on May 3 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with strawberry-themed fun both days and the debut of the Strawberry Strut on Sunday. In addition to strawberry-themed food and beverages, the Great Strawberry Strut takes place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Read More)

Sesame Place Brings Back Baby Shark
Elmo’s Springtacular is back at Sesame Place Philadelphia with limited-time events each weekend, including all-new experiences this May. This year’s celebration will be filled with more fun than ever before as the Middletown amusement park celebrates its 45th birthday. This weekend returns the Baby Shark. Guests can catch Baby Shark, Pinkfong, and Bebefinn in the musical Baby Shark Mini-Show, Meet & Greets, and a VIP Dine. Click here for more information.
Spring Tour To Explore Buildings At Tyler Park
The Friends of Tyler State Park will be offering a rare inside look at some of the buildings that make up Tyler State Park in Newtown and Northampton townships. During its first Open House Tour on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Friends will be opening six buildings to the public. (Read More)
Spring Plant Sale Taking Root in Wrightstown
Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds located at 576 Penns Park Road in Newtown 18940. The sale will include donated plants from Master Gardeners. (Read More)
Guided Walking Tour Of Downtown Yardley Sunday
A guided walking tour of downtown Yardley will be offered by the Yardley Historical Association on Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m. The tour will begin at the Old Library by Lake Afton, 46 West Afton Avenue.
Come see how Yardley has changed during the last four centuries. Historian Charlie Thomforde will lead a leisurely one-hour walk through the center of town. A $10 per person donation is requested.
