WARMINSTER, PA —Medical marijuana users can make an All-Star strain selection.

Former Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson has teamed up with another former NBA player in a partnership to make the cannabis brand Viola exclusively available at RISE medical marijuana dispensaries, which includes one on York Road.

RISE is selling Iverson '01 —which references the Sixers' great during his 2001 MVP season when the team lost in the NBA Finals to the Los Angeles Lakers. The THC is 29.76%.

Viola, the leading Black-owned producer and licensed reseller of premium cannabis products, announced it was releasing limited quantities of its latest strain as part of the ongoing multi-year partnership with the NBA icon.

The indica-dominant Detroit cultivated hybrid, IVERSON 01,' is a cross between F1 Durban, Gushers and Runtz. The pre-rolled and packaged flower will be available at other state dispensaries shortly.

Viola was founded in 2011 by former NBA player Al Harrington, whose grandmother had long suffered from glaucoma. He convinced her to try cannabis, which relieved her symptoms. He then named the company after his grandmother.
