Bucks Co. Breaks Record For Number Of Tourists

More than 8.4 million visitors traveled to Bucks County in 2024, generating more than $1.3 billion in economic impact, a report states.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County is breaking records as tourists continue to check out everywhere from New Hope to Bensalem and Doylestown to Yardley.

In 2024, Bucks County welcomed a record 8.4 million visitors, an increase of 2.4 percent from 2023 and reached a record $1.3 billion in total economic impact, an increase of 3.4 percent from 2023, according to Tourism Economics.

Tourism Economics also reported that day and overnight visitation to Bucks County increased in 2024, surpassing the highs of 2018 and 2019 — a testament to the county’s continued appeal as a destination for travelers near and far, according to Visit Bucks County, the county's official tourism agency.

The Economic Impact of Visitation to Bucks County, 2024:

  • Bucks County saw 8.4 million visitors in 2024.
  • Visitors directly spent $710 million — 2.3 percent more than in 2023. Visitor spending includes food and beverage, lodging, transportation, retail and recreation.
  • Tourism generated a total of $1.3 billion in economic impact, a 3.4 percent increase over 2023.
  • There were 29,104 leisure and hospitality jobs in Bucks County, a 1.5 percent increase over 2023.
