Tell us about the first responder and how they serve the community.

Barbara has been serving Bucks County EMS for over 40 years as an EMT and Paramedic and an officer at several Squads. She partnered with her son, Michael (also a Paramedic) to save the life of a man who had collapsed on a basketball court at a park in Northampton Township, administering CPR and shocking the man with an AED to restore his heartbeat prior to local ambulance service arriving. Recognized by the County for their actions, they simply did what EMS providers do on a daily basis, not seeking recognition and often taken for granted in the State and municipalities.
