Code Blue Alert Issued In Lower Bucks County
Shelters in Lower Bucks County will remain open every night through Wednesday morning.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Now that the snowstorm has passed, Lower Bucks County residents must now deal with freezing temperatures.
Bucks County has declared a "Code Blue" alert in response to a forecasted stretch of severe winter weather, including snow, bitter cold, and sub-freezing wind chills.
The county issues a “Code Blue” declaration when temperatures are forecast to drop below 20 degrees for two or more consecutive days.

A “Code Blue” may be called amid higher temperatures, as consideration is also given to wind chill, precipitation and other circumstances.
Information about “Code Blue” openings is available Monday to Friday through the county’s Housing Link Helpline at 1-800-810-4434.

Shelters in Lower, Upper, and Central Bucks County open Saturday evening and will remain in operation every night through Wednesday morning.

The Upper and Lower Bucks shelters will open at 8:30 p.m. The Central Bucks shelter opens at 7:30 p.m. each night.
