WARMINSTER, PA —The seniors at Christ's Home have cheered on their Philadelphia Eagles throughout the team's playoff run. And it will be no different come Super Bowl Sunday.

Elizabeth Terry Ryskasen, Christ's Home's public relations associate, said plans are in the works for a possible pep rally Friday and a Super Bowl watch party Sunday at the Warminster group home for senior citizens.

And the group just might be the team's lucky charm, Ryskasen said.

The gang dressed in their Eagles gear at a Friday morning coffee social on Jan. 27 in the retirement community's clubhouse on Shepherd's Way. The senior adult residents got to sing the Eagles fight song "Fly Eagles Fly."

They were accompanied on saxophone by Vernon Morris, the home's administrator of independent living.

Ryskasen said Joe Deeney led the pep rally as president of the residents' council.

Ryskasen made a video of the spirited performance and sent it to Action News 6 with the tagline "there's no age limit for being an Eagles fan!"

Well, to her and the group's surprise, Action News aired it on its 6 p.m. newscast that evening with an introduction by new anchor Brian Taff, who mentioned that they were "seasoned Eagles fans." Watch the video here.

"We were delighted and excited that the video was shown," Ryskasen said. The Eagles went on to defeat the New York Giants that Sunday. "Maybe our gang is a lucky charm for the Eagles."
