FBI Search For Porn, Wawa Theft: Warminster Crimes

The Warminster Township Police Department issued its blotter of criminal incidents for June.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The FBI conducted a child pornography investigation at a township home. Meanwhile, a theft was reported at the Wawa on Street Road.

  • Police were dispatched to the area of Evergreen and Ivy streets for a report of a man walking in the area and stumbling. Officers found a man who fit the description that was given. The man had stumbled and fallen before police officers reached him. Police said the 41-year-old man was visibly intoxicated. The man was transported to his residence and cited for public drunkenness.
  • Officers were dispatched to The Glen at Bucks for a well-being check. The caller advised that a 28-year-old man had drowned his dog, and she felt he may harm himself. The man advised that he was having marital problems, and the dog was the reason his wife had left. The man was arrested on a 302 Warrant and transported to a hospital for treatment. Upon release, the man was arraigned before Judge O'Neill, and bail was set at 10 percent of $300,000. The man was taken to Bucks County Prison and was charged with Abuse of a Corpse and numerous other charges.
  • Bucks County Dispatch advised police officers that a wanted person was in a Constance Drive business. When police arrived, the man ran to another business in the area. A foot pursuit ensued, and officers used a taser on the 35-year-old man. He was taken to Abington Hospital to be evaluated for his injuries and then cleared for incarceration. The man was arraigned, and bail was set at 10 percent of $150,000. The man was taken to Bucks County Prison and was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and numerous other charges.
  • Police officers were dispatched to Pearle Vision on Street Road for a report of an assault. The complainant said he was walking out to the parking lot, and a speeding vehicle almost hit him. He reached out his hand and tapped the vehicle. The driver, a 64-year-old man, aggressively exited the vehicle and confronted him before a fight started. The man was cited for disorderly conduct.
  • On a routine traffic stop, an officer ran the female driver's name and found there was a warrant with the Bucks County Sheriff's Department. The 38-year-old woman was taken into custody and later released to the Bucks County Sheriff's Department.
  • Officers were dispatched to Street and Norristown Roads for a report of an accident. The driver of the striking vehicle was suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The 43-year-old woman refused field sobriety tests, a Breathalyzer test, and a blood draw for chemical testing. She was transported to headquarters to be processed. She was then given a courtesy transport back to her home.
  • Warminster Police assisted the FBI with a Search Warrant at a township residence. The search warrant was part of a child pornography investigation. A 65-year-old man admitted to having and viewing child pornography. He was arraigned before Judge Chris O'Neill, and bail was set at 10 percent of $500,000. The man was taken to Bucks County Prison by Bucks County Constables.
  • Police officers were dispatched to Wawa on Street Road for a report of a retail theft. The manager said a man who stole items was verbally told not to enter the store. When the manager saw the 27-year-old man put two protein drinks in a plastic bag that he had brought into the store, he told him to turn them over. The man stated, "Call the Police." He was found leaving the store. The man was handcuffed and taken to headquarters to be processed. The man was charged with possession of a controlled substance, retail theft, and receiving stolen property.
  • Bucks County Radio dispatched police officers to a shopping center on Street Road for a report of a man sleeping on top of a dumpster. When police responded, the man was found sleeping on a trash can. The 39-year-old man was visibly intoxicated and had a fat lip. He refused medical treatment. The man was cited for Public Drunkenness and given a courtesy ride to his home.
