Fight Over Chores, Underage Drinking Charges: Warminster Crimes

The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for July.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A fight over chores led to the arrest of a father for assault. That was among the criminal incidents released by the Warminster Township Police Department in its blotter for July.

These are the criminal incidents:

  • On routine traffic patrol, a police officer clocked a vehicle going 48 mph in a 25 mph speed zone. When the officer stopped the vehicle, he discovered three peopke under age 21 years who had been drinking. A 17-year-old girl was cited for Underage Drinking. A 17-year-old boy was cited for Underage Drinking, and the 18-year-old male driver was cited for Speeding, Underage Drinking, and Restrictions on Open Containers. The parents of all three were called to respond to County Line and Centennial Roads to pick them up.
  • While en route to a medical call, a police officer saw a vehicle having trouble maintaining its lane of travel and almost struck the curb numerous times. The officer saw the vehicle strike another vehicle and continued driving away. The officer stopped the vehicle and said the man was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The 38-year-old man was given field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was then handcuffed and transported back to headquarters to be processed, and he consented to a blood draw. Pending Blood alcohol results, the man will be charged with Driving Under the Influence.
  • Officers were dispatched to 952 Thomas Drive for a report of a theft in progress. The complainant said a truck had pulled near a trailer on his property and attempted to enter it. The complainant had video surveillance of the incident, and the truck's license plate number was recorded. Officers observed pry marks on the door of the trailer. Bucks County Dispatch broadcast the license plate information, and a neighboring police department notified the officer when the vehicle returned to the residence. The 20-year-old man was cited for trespassing.
  • Officers were dispatched to Henry Avenue for a Domestic that happened on Lemon Street. A 17-year-old man said that he and his father got into an altercation about chores. His 55-year-old father assaulted him on June 9, and charges are pending. The father was taken into custody and transported to headquarters to be processed. He was arraigned before Judge Armitage, and bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
  • Officers responded to Kingsley Drive for a report of a domestic incident. Officers responded and were familiar with the 47-year-old woman, who had repeatedly tried to enter the residence. Officers said the person was asked to leave or be arrested for trespassing. The woman was handcuffed and taken to headquarters. The female was arraigned before Judge Wagner, who set bail at 10 percent of $30,000. The woman was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility.
  • Police officers responded to Magnolia Road for a man causing a disturbance. The 45-year-old man was playing music loudly and yelling at neighbors. A neighbor said the man had been drinking all day and was visibly intoxicated. Officers cited the man for Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct.
