Firefighter Exercises Starting At York Road Structure
The Warminster Fire Department said training will take place over the next week in a structure acquired by the township.
WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Fire Department is taking over a York Road structure acquired by the township for training over the next week.
The fire department will conduct training at the structure in the 200 block of York Road, at the northwestern corner of York Road and Seventh Avenue.
"This is training only," the fire department said. "There is no emergency and no cause for concern if you see fire department vehicles or personnel in the area. These exercises help our firefighters sharpen their skills and prepare for real emergencies in a safe, controlled environment."

The fire department held a drill last month that focused on fire behavior.
The training started with a classroom lecture to reinforce the science behind fire growth, flashover, and ventilation, fire officials said.

"Our senior firefighters then brought that knowledge to life using the Palmer Dollhouse fire behavior prop, giving our members a powerful hands-on demonstration of how fires develop and react in different conditions," fire officials said. "Training like this builds a strong foundation for our firefighters, combining education and live demonstration to keep us sharp and ready to protect the community."
