Firefighters Battle Blaze At Warminster Apartment Building

Companies from throughout the area responded to the scene as they conducted an extensive search of the building.

WARMINSTER, PA — Fire broke out early Sunday morning at an apartment building in the 500 block of Sixth Avenue in Warminster Township.

Before the arrival of firefighters, one family was able to safely evacuate and alert their neighbors, with one resident assisting another from the building.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered active fire conditions and received reports that someone may
still be trapped inside. For nearly 20 minutes, personnel operated under the belief that someone may still be inside. They conducted "a thorough and intense search of the structure" while simultaneously working to extinguish the fire.

Police were later able to confirm the unaccounted individual was not home at the time the fire broke out.

'This fire has had a profound impact on the lives of those affected, and we are grateful that no injuries were reported," reported the fire company.

"We extend our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners who worked tirelessly alongside us," the fire company posted on Facebook, "including Bucks County 911, the first link in the chain of response, for their calm coordination in the critical first moments; the officers of the Warminster Police Department for working to help evacuate and identify missing residents; the Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services for supporting fire personnel; and the residents for helping evacuate neighbors and confirming the whereabouts of those initially believed to be trapped."

Assisting with the call were the company's mutual aid partners - Hartsville Fire Company, Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro, Horsham Fire Company, Southampton Fire Company No. 1, Upper Moreland Township Fire Department, Warrington Fire Co. #1, Warwick Township Fire Company No. 1
Doylestown Fire Company No. 1 and Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services.
