Fist Fight With Contractors, Walmart Theft: Warminster Crimes

The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for July.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A fist fight broke out between a man and contractors doing work on his home. Meanwhile, six juveniles were found following a reported fire behind Ashley's Furniture on Street Road.

  • Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Michener Court for an assault report. The complainant advised that some contractors had assaulted him. After the contractors had tried to satisfy the customer and had been verbally abused because they had not done the job properly, the contractors attempted to leave the property, and the complainant blocked the vehicles in so they couldn't leave. A fist fight ensued. The 53-year-old male homeowner was cited for Disorderly Conduct.
  • Officers responded to Walmart for a report of a Retail Theft, and three people were in custody in the Loss Prevention Office. A 38-year-old man was cited for Retail Theft for theft of merchandise totaling $37.94.
  • Officers responded to Ann's Choice for a report of an intoxicated person. Upon arrival, a woman was observed running from the area with security in foot pursuit. Officers caught the 41-year-old woman and handcuffed one arm because she was fighting with police officers. When she calmed down, she was fully cuffed. The woman was cited for Resisting Arrest and Public Drunkenness. She was given a courtesy transport home.
  • On routine patrol, an officer noticed smoke coming from behind the Ashley Furniture. Upon arrival, the officer saw a suspicious vehicle and six juveniles around the fire and vehicle. Four males, ages 15-17, and two females, ages 15 and 17, stated they were sleeping when the fire started. The parents of each juvenile were called to pick them up. They were all cited for Disorderly Conduct and Simple Trespass.
  • While on routine patrol, an officer saw a vehicle that failed to observe a stop sign at Lemon and Madison streets. The vehicle was pulled over, and it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. The 24-year-old man consented to a sobriety test, which he failed. The man consented to a blood draw, so he was taken back to headquarters, and EMS responded. Pending Blood Alcohol results, the man will be charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
  • An officer received a phone call from the Northampton Police Department confirming a Felony Retail Theft warrant for a 34-year-old woman stopped for a traffic violation. Officers went to McDonald's in Southampton to retrieve the woman, and before she was put in the patrol car, she was searched, and a white powder was found in her possession. The officer confiscated the powder, which was taken to the lab to be analyzed. Charges will be filed pending the testing results.
  • A police officer observed a man known to them riding a bicycle on York Road. The officer ran the 42-year-old man's information and found warrants for him in Bucks and Montgomery counties. He was taken to headquarters to be picked up by the Sheriff's Department.
