Hunger Fight Recognition For Warminster Food Bank
Giant Food Stores will volunteer and present a donation to the food bank Friday. September is Hunger Action Month.
WARMINSTER, PA —The Warminster Food Bank will be recognized for its work in eliminating hunger in local communities Friday.
Giant Food Stores will recognize and thank the food bank for its efforts in honor of Hunger Action Month. Giant members will volunteer at the food bank Friday morning and also are expected to present a donation in support of the fight against hunger.
The Warminster Food Bank serves over 800 individuals/200 families each month and more than 7,500 individuals and 1,800 families each year.

The food bank teamed up with Giant and the Centennial students on the school district's "Stuff the Bus" campaign last month.
Hunger Action Month is the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks raising awareness to generate public activity in combating hunger.

GIANT has planned activities throughout the month through donations and volunteerism to emphasize eliminating hunger.
Patch has partnered with Feeding America since 2020 to help raise awareness of hunger in our local communities, a persistent national problem exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that 1 in 8 people face hunger. This is a Patch social good project; Feeding America receives 100 percent of donations.
